Thierry Mugler Perfumes - Why His Perfumes Are Heaven 'scent'

Though Thierry Mugler, born in Strasbourg, France in 1948, spent much of his early life studying ballet, he later dabbled in fashion design, creating garments for friends before moving to Paris and gaining experience as a window dresser. He launched his first clothing line in 1973, followed by a women's clothing line two years later. Now, Thierry Mugler perfumes also add to the character of the designer's company. While the company did not survive the influx of new fashionistas in the 1990's, Thierry went on to collaborate with a number of other fashion heavies, still bringing a modicum of fame to his name brand, especially focusing on perfumes.

Angel is perhaps the most well recognized of the Thierry Mugler perfumes and is known for its chocolate character. A blend of floral Oriental fragrances, this hefty aroma is perfect for fall or winter use, both day and evening, and is geared for casual wear. Angel is a thoroughly modern perfume and Mugler's use of fruity notes has made it one of the most extreme but one of the most successful of the "gourmand" fragrances of the 1990's. For something softer that works well on a crisp, cool spring day or even in the warmth of the summer sun, you might try Alien. The soft spice of orange flower blends with aldehydes to perfect he essence of Oriental florals at the heart of the fragrance.

Thierry Mugler perfumes like Angel Innocent Secret take the original formula and enhance it for a playful, fruity blend that is sold today in Victoria's Secret locations. Overtones of citrus are combined with a heart of fruits, florals, and praline for a unique sensation. The base of the perfume - sandalwood, vanilla, and musk - add depth and character.

With Angel Rose, the line of perfumes expanded in 2006, bringing a new, sexier fragrance to the lineup. Eau De Star launched in 2007, geared at a younger audience with a lighter impression. Mugler designed the shape of the fragrance bottles himself, taking inspiration from a star - his lucky symbol. He also wears a star as a ring and as a tattoo.
