Energy Work and Weight Loss
As joyful visionaries we are aware that our thoughts are the fabric of our experience. We know that when we are choosing thoughts that produce feelings of wellbeing we are consciously creating our lives. We also know that there is no limit to what we are able to create: If we believe in the thoughts we think then we will experience them as our reality.
The subject of weight loss is no exception – it is very possible to think and feel our way to our perfect weight. Thoughts and feelings are powerful tools and from this vantage point we can choose to have a great deal of fun with this.
Belief Mapping
Once you have decided that you want to incorporate a joyful approach to weight loss, take some time to consider the beliefs you currently hold around weight loss.
Write a list of thought patterns you have around food, eating, exercise and anything else that comes to mind while considering your beliefs around the subject of weight loss.
Here are some examples:
“Eating makes me gain weightâ€
“In order to lose weight, I have to eat things I do not enjoy.’
“I have to exercise in order to lose weight.â€
“Losing weight is a struggle.â€
“When I lose weight it is not permanent.â€
“In order to lose weight I must do six squats before breakfast, but not on Tuesdays (Tuesdays are push-ups) and eat 18 carrots a week.â€
Remember that during this process you are going to invite the feelings that are associated with each belief to come to the surface. Be gentle with yourself and keep in mind that this is a necessary part of the process – it is important to know how you feel. Allow any and all feelings to come up. Know that all resistance to that which you do not want creates a wanting for something more in alignment with who you really are. Allow yourself to acknowledge this process. Let it be.
Give yourself enough time to do this. There is no need to rush. The important thing is that you allow yourself to acknowledge your beliefs and feel your emotional reaction to them without making it that which you are.
Once you have written out your list, thank yourself for being on this conscious path and recognise your achievement: you have identified the roots of your experience with many things around the subject of weight loss. And if you can identify without identifying with, you have discovered that your joy is but a choice away.
As joyful visionaries we remember that we are essentially magnificent beings. Each time we identify a thought pattern within us that does not feel good, we thank your emotional guidance system for showing us the way. We take the first step to lining up with what we want when we know what it is that we do not want and we give thanks to ourselves for showing us the way.
Once a belief has been objectively identified and held in a loving vibration, it is released back to its natural state, which like the nature of all things, is constantly moving toward perfect balance.
This is where we can see ourselves in crystals. We are the conduits through which Life flows. Energy conductors: receiving, storing and transmitting energy.
All Life is energy. All energy is consciousness. And through our conscious choosing of that which feels good – and is natural to crystals, beasts and planets – we align ourselves with the Universal Flow of Life. The energy of wellbeingness.
It is the very same energy that inspires new ideas and animates spontaneous, inspired actions towards synchronous manifestations of desire. In this Great Cosmic Dance, the same song that creates and sustains galaxies, sustains itself too.
With this knowing - that you are a both singing and dancing your way through life – look at your list again. This universal viewpoint gives you so much freedom.
From this freedom you can ask your higher self to inspire a belief to replace the ones you decide no longer serve you. By looking at your list and deciding which beliefs you want to keep and which you’d like to return to Source, where it is transmuted into pure positive life force energy, you are allowing a new one to from in its place, you are allowing Life to move through you.
You are shining the light of consciousness into All that Is.
You are Consciousness moving through matter.
You are choreographing your experience of Life.
Lets work with our first example:
“Eating makes me gain weightâ€
Notice your posture. How does your body feel?
I feel hopeless when I read this. There is a furrow in my brow and my teeth are clenched. My breath is shallow.
Ask yourself, how do I want to feel? Allow your body to respond. What do you notice?
I want to feel hopeful.
I breathe easily. My jaw relaxes.
It feels like I can trust that everything is going to be alright.
I notice that feeling hopeful allows me to feel safe in my future. I don’t have to worry here.
I notice that my body feels less constricted – especially in my chest.
Return awareness now to your breathing. Taking in a deep, conscious breath, allowing all thoughts to subside in the wake of our aware breathing.
In Energy Work breath is an important conduit for channeling energy. It carries Life Force to the body and to the psyche. There is balance when these aspects are synchronised. We align our physical and subtle bodies through breathing consciously.
Take a moment now to welcome the feeling of having your desire, in our example, the desire to feel hopeful, into the here and now of your being.
Invite into your whole being on your conscious breath.
Allow yourself to fully absorb the full spectrum of what this feels like. Give it to yourself generously!
You can transmit this energy to a crystal grid or over a reiki symbol - any sanctified object that you resonate with. By doing this you are creating a living channel through which Life flows. You create it with your intent.
You can use your crystal or reiki symbol in a daily ritual to tap into the energies of your conscious desire. They are the portals through which you return to the state of having what it is that you want in the here and now.
When you hold this object as your focus of attention you can allow yourself to vibrate with it and absorb the energy of this amazing state of being.
Affirm: I feel safe in my here and now. All is well in my future.
Now, in this state, look at the first statement again.
“Eating makes me gain weight.â€
Listen from your new awareness for a thoughts that feels better: ones that are in alignment to this feeling place.
Write it down, for example:
Eating nurtures and sustains my body, allowing it to maintain its perfect balance.
How does this feel?
How does your body respond?
Does it amplify your feeling of alignment?
If it does, decide to keep it. Use your free will to create the fabric of your experience. Choose joy. And know that as you do this you are creating a pathway to bliss within your whole being.
Your body is creating new bio-chemical cocktails that will feed your every cell with this belief. And we all know the saying “you are what you eat†– same applies on a cellular level.
Cells are like crystals in that they receive, store and transmit energy. On a biochemical level, they receive our emotions in peptide chain form and mirror them by developing receptors to receive the ones they are accustomed to. And like crystals, cells can be programmed too. We program them with how we choose to feel.
Intend: I choose to re-member my inherent balance by eating consciously and giving thanks to the food I choose for nurturing and sustaining my body. I in-joy the food I eat!
Know that as you occupy your space in time with this deliberate state of being, you are returning to home to your natural state of wellbeing.

That is the nature of our abundant universe – aren’t we amazing?!
